A New Way to Think. A New Way to Live
If you’re gonna follow Jesus, it all starts with renewing your mind. Learning to think God’s thoughts over your own is a game-changer—it’s how transformation actually happens. At Church Alive, we use something called “A Way of Life” to help guide that process. It’s more than a list—it’s a mindset. A lifestyle. A daily decision to walk like Jesus walked and live like He lives in us. We believe that living out the life of Christ isn’t just a Sunday thing—it’s a whole-life thing. Here’s how we walk it out…
We’re Learning to Love Like He Loves
At Church Alive, we’ve set our hearts on one big goal: to love like Jesus. He told us to do it, and He didn’t leave us hanging—His love has already been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. So yes, it’s possible. We can love like He loves. His kind of love? It’s patient. It’s kind. It doesn’t get jealous, doesn’t show off, and doesn’t keep score. It doesn’t get ugly when things get hard. God’s love sticks it out. It believes the best, hopes the best, and endures the worst. That kind of love never fails. It doesn’t quit. It doesn’t fear. It’s not tainted by bitterness, hate, or prejudice. This is the love we’re growing in—day by day, moment by moment—learning how to live it out in every situation life throws our way.

We’re Faith Walkers
At Church Alive, we don’t live by what we see—we walk by faith. The Bible says the just shall live by faith, and without it, it’s impossible to please God. So we lean in and live it out. We take our cues from Abraham—our faith father. He didn’t let his circumstances call the shots. He trusted what God said, even when it didn’t look possible. He hoped against hope, and guess what? God came through. That’s what we do too. We believe what God says over what we see. We speak His promises, we stand on His Word, and we don’t back down until we see it come to pass. Because here’s the deal—all things are possible to those who believe. And that’s who we are.

Walking In The Light of God's Word
The Word is Our Foundation
At Church Alive, we believe this without flinching—God’s Word is God’s will. Want to know what God’s like? Open the Word. Want to know what He wants for your life? Open the Word. From the very beginning, the Word was there—Jesus Himself. Everything we see was created through it, and even now, all of creation is held together by it. The Bible isn’t just a good book—it’s our solid ground. Faith doesn’t come from feelings; it comes by hearing the Word of God. Inside those pages are promises that are already “yes and amen” in Christ—and they’re for you. The Word guides us, teaches us, corrects us, and fills us with faith—not just for salvation, but for every promise He’s made. We don’t just read it—we pray it, speak it, and meditate on it day and night. It reshapes how we think and reveals more of who He is. God’s Word lights up the path and shows us how to walk in His kind of life. And we’re here for it.

Walking In The Divine Nature by the Spirit
We Live by the Spirit
At Church Alive, we don’t just talk about the Spirit—we walk in the Spirit. We’re called to be Spirit-filled, Spirit-led, and Spirit-fed. That means we move by faith, not by feelings, and we lean into the power that raised Jesus from the dead. You’ve been made alive—a brand-new creation—by the Holy Spirit. You were created in God’s image to walk like He walks, speak like He speaks, think His thoughts, and do what He would do. That’s not hype—that’s truth. When we yield to the Holy Spirit, we don’t have to be dragged around by old desires or fleshly impulses. The Spirit leads us into freedom, into purpose, and into a life that actually looks like Jesus. And that’s the life we’re choosing—every day.

We’re Made for Freedom
God didn’t design your heart for bitterness or baggage—He built it for love, joy, peace, and wholeness. That’s your original setting. But unforgiveness? It hijacks that design. It cuts us off from others, holds us back, and keeps us stuck in yesterday. Even worse—it blocks what God wants to do in and through us. But here’s the good news: the same God who made your heart knows how to heal it. He’s shown us a way forward—past the pain, past the hurt, and into freedom. It starts by choosing His way: forgiveness, grace, and a return to the life and love we were always meant to live. Let’s get back to that path. The path of freedom.
