Though corporate gatherings are biblical and have an immense level of importance (Acts 2:46); we have found tremendous spiritual growth in the lives of believers who chose to engage with one another in smaller groups. We find that one key element of growth is the ability for a believer to open up and share his or her views, and likewise receive from others. The word declares that iron sharpens iron Prov. 27:17, and so it is with small groups.
Additionally, we have found that many lifel groups form very close bonds with each other that last a lifetime in some cases. They are willing to pray with each other and encourage in difficult times. They are also there to rejoice with you in times of triumph. They learn so much about you: your experiences, your accomplishments, hobbies, goals, family, most of all your spirit man.
We ask our group leaders to insure that what gets disclosed in these meetings, stay in the meetings due to the sensitive nature of topics. We place this as a high priority! Our goal is to see believers willing to open up to each other, and that takes trust. Some of the topics discussed can include previous hurts, wounds, or failures that are often stuffed inside for long periods of time.
If you need more information regarding life groups, please contact the church. We would love to share with you our past success with life group believers. We would also welcome any questions regarding our stance on life groups and why they are important. Finally, we would be more than happy to find a life group that would fit the best and give you the most potential for growth.
