GLife

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”  Acts 2:42-47

Welcome to GLife, our Life Group Environment!

Through corporate gatherings are biblical and have an immense level of importance (Acts 2:46); we have found tremendous spiritual growth in the lives of believers who chose to engage with one another in smaller groups. We find that one key element of growth is the ability for a believer to open up and share his or her views, and likewise receive from others. The word declares that iron sharpens iron Prov. 27:17, and so it is with small groups.

Additionally, we have found that many life groups form very close bonds with each other that last a lifetime in some cases. They are willing to pray with each other and encourage in difficult times. They are also there to rejoice with you in times of triumph. They learn so much about you: your experiences, your accomplishments, hobbies, goals, family, most of all your spirit man.

We ask our GLife leaders to insure that what gets disclosed in these meetings, stay in the meetings due to the sensitive nature of topics. We place this as a high priority! Our goal is to see believers willing to open up to each other, and that takes trust. Some of the topics discussed can include previous hurts, wounds, or failures that are often stuffed inside for long periods of time.

If you need more information regarding GLife, please contact the church. We would love to share with you our past success with life group believers. We would also welcome any questions regarding our stance on life groups and why they are important. Finally, we would be more than happy to find a life group that would fit the best and give you the most potential for growth.

Common Question Many Have Regarding GLife:

How Do I Select A Group?

You can register one of four ways:

During service you can identify a group number of interest, fill out the back of your communication card with the appropriate group number, and then submit your communication card in the offering at the end of service.

You can register for a group by clicking here:

You can see a GLife leader in the lobby at the end of service.

Last option, if you already know the GLife leader, you can share your interest with them in person.

Why Should I Get Involved In GLife?

Getting connected at Church Alive means participating in a Life Group. Some people enjoy a large church because of its focus on others, while others want a small intimate church. We believe that our church must become larger and smaller at the same time.

“You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.” Acts 20:20

GLife Provides Three Things:

A place to connect.

yes, whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him.”    1 Corinthians 9:22 Living

A place to protect.

“We know what real love is because Christ gave up His life for us. And so we also ought to give up our lives for our Christian brothers and sisters.” 1 John 3:16 NLT

A place to grow.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”  Proverbs 27:17

How Long Is A Normal GLife Meeting?

We ask our leaders to target 60 - 90 minutes, though some groups can vary.

Is there Childcare?

That depends on the group. Some have the capacity, while others do not. The group description should inform you.

What If I Sign Up But Don’t Like It?

First we encourage you to spend at least a few weeks in your environment as it takes time to grow comfortable with one another. If you are still having trouble adjusting, feel free to inform the group leader of the challenges you are facing. Finally, if your group is still not working out, you can always wait for the next semester around the corner to find a group that will work for you.

Where Do I Buy The Book Curriculum?

The Church Alive library located in the lobby is a great option. However, almost every book we use is available on Amazon; both new and used, usually for a very low cost. In many cases the group may not require material cost at all. You can find that information out by looking at the group description. Feel free to ask the group leader if you need assistance.
